There is a number of associations, organizations and individuals working, among others, on legislative changes to ensure that TCIM serves people better. There are many people interested in legislative changes and greater appreciation of TCIM, as shown by some public opinion research (e.g. within the frame of pan-European research CAMbrella from 2010-2012).
