**Abstract:** The objective of the study was to assess the growth contributing characters of biofield treated bottle gourd (Lagenaria siceraria) and okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) seeds. The seeds of both crops were divided into two groups, one was kept aside and denoted as untreated, while the other group was subjected biofield energy treatment. The variabilities in growth contributing parameters were studied and compared with their control. Further the level of glutathione (GSH) in okra leaves, along with DNA fingerprinting in bottle gourd were analyzed using RAPD method. `After germination, the plants of bottle gourd were reported to be strong and erect with better canopy as compared with the control. The vegetative growth of okra plants after biofield energy treatment was found to be stout with small canopy, strong steam, and more fruits per nodes, that contributed high yield as compared with the control. However, endogenous level of GSH in the leaves of okra was increased by 47.65% as compared to the untreated group, which may suggest an improved immunity of okra crops. Besides, the DNA fingerprinting data, showed polymorphism (42%) between treated and untreated samples of bottle gourd. The overall results suggest that the biofield energy treatment on bottle gourd and okra seeds, results an improved overall growth of plant and yield, which may enhance flowering and fruiting per plant. Available from: [https://www.researchgate.net/publication/288629552](https://www.researchgate.net/publication/288629552) --- (Czech) **2015 - Vyhodnocení parametrů vegetativního růstu po působení biopolem u tykve lahvovité (Lagenaria siceraria) a ibiškovce jedlého (Abelmoschus esculentus)** **Souhrn:** Cílem studie bylo zhodnotit faktory podílející se na růstu po léčebném působení biopolem na semena tykve lahvovité (Lagenaria siceraria) a ibiškovce jedlého (Abelmoschus esculentus). Semena obou plodin byla rozdělena do dvou skupin, z nichž jedna skupina byla dána stranou a označena jako neošetřená a druhá byla podrobena energetickému působení. Variability v parametrech, které se podílí na růstu, byly analyzovány a porovnány s kontrolní skupinou. Dále byla zkoumána hladina glutathionu (GSH) v listech ibiškovce a analyzována DNA u tykve lahvovité pomocí metody RAPD. `Bylo zaznamenáno, že po vyklíčení byly rostliny silné a vzrostlé s lepším porostem oproti kontrolní skupině. Vegetativní růst rostlin ibiškovce byl po energetickém působení silný, s malým porostem, silným stonkem a více plody na jeden nodus, což přispělo k vysokému výnosu ve srovnání s kontrolní skupinou. Endogenní hladina GSH v listech ibiškovce se zvýšila o 47,65 % ve srovnání s neošetřenou skupinou, což naznačuje zvýšenou odolnost plodin ibiškovce. Navíc údaje z analýzy DNA ukázaly polymorfizmus (42 %) mezi ošetřenými a neošetřenými vzorky tykve. Z celkových výsledků lze usoudit, že energetické působení biopolem na semena tykve lahvovité a ibiškovce jedlého má za následek zlepšení celkového růstu rostlin a výnosu, což může zvýšit kvetení a plození u rostliny.
