Short CV Prof. (Dr.) Mona Purohit - Prof. (Dr.) Mona Purohit is a seasoned academician with over 20+ years of teaching experience in legal teaching. She is presently Dean Law and The Head of the department for Department of Legal Studies and Research, Barkatullah University, Bhopal. She has to her credit two books and one highly acclaimed on “Legal Education & Research Methodology”. She has over 18 papers apart from over 10 edited chapters to her credit. She has presented papers in various reputed International & National seminars and workshops. She has been a regular invitee Speaker over the issues of PCPNDT, Women Issues, IPR, Human Rights and Legal Research. Her LL.D. topic revolves around the Patenting of Biotechnological products and the conflicting issues in reference to pharmaceutical products. She has been on the panel of various Governmental and non-governmental bodies some primarily includes SSB, State Administrative Academy etc. along with various universities and colleges. She has a rich experience of research and around 15 scholars have completed their Ph.D. under her able guidance. She is also member of the Board of Studies of some renowned universities. She even features on the Doordarshan Talk show and radio programmes on Legal issues. Prof. Purohit has been felicitated with the prestigious ‘Sewa Samman’, ‘Shiksha Ratna Puraskar’ and “Best Teacher Award’ twice in her academic journey so far.
