My name is Alexandros Tilikidis. I was born in Athens, Greece in the year 1966, 16th of May. I graduated from the medical University in Greece as a medical doctor in the year 1991. I received the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the year 2001. So, for many years I was a faithful servant of the modern Western biochemical Medicine. In 1994 I started studying Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture and I have been practicing Acupuncture since then, for almost 30 years. My contact with Traditional Chinese Medicine opened my path to Traditional Hellenic Medicine and of course Hippocrates. I must say that Traditional Chinese Medicine played a very important role for me to meet, study and understand Hippocrates, because with the modern Western biochemical Medicine I could not understand Hippocrates. So, through China I discovered my own Greek Hippocrates and that’s why I hold great respect to Chinese people, Chinese culture, and Chinese Medicine.
In the year 2004 I established a medical school in Athens, Greece, with the name ‘Akadimia of Ancient Greek and Traditional Chinese Medicine’ and we have a long-term cooperation with Tianjin University of T.C.M.
